I have been struggling with Depression since 2018 and I didn’t really know I was depressed. I only thought it was mere sadness because of the situations around me until time went on and it continued, people talked, yet I felt I wasn’t depressed, it really affected my relationships with people, my friends and I was always wanting to be indoors. I started having suicidal thoughts, I just wanted to end it all, I needed help but I didn’t know how to go about it, I didn’t know how to place it to people that I am depressed until 2020 when I finally got to know about LEAD. I was assigned to a therapist, as I can remember vividly, he put me through some sessions, he talked with me and I felt better but the depression kept on swallowing me I didn’t bother reaching out him again, one day I was tired of the whole thing, I reached out to him again, he talked with me and I felt much better because I felt better, I distance myself from him again thinking I could do it myself.

Until this year 2021, August. I went back to him again and he told me to be consistent with the sessions and he encouraged me to follow every instruction.

My therapist had been my guide through my journey in mental health, he gave me sessions, talked to me, spent time on calls, whenever I felt down I always called him and he told me what to do, he coached me and I followed every bit of instructions he gave.

Thank you so much LEAD and Dr Kelvin, now I can proudly say I am healed from the depression, I no longer post sad and depressive things, I am no longer suicidal and I am saying this with so confidence.

As of November 1 2021, I was going through some internal issues and I needed to talk to someone a professional at that because at the time I couldn’t contain it anymore..So my aunty friend help me to connect with an NGO called LEAD (LIVING EVERYDAY ABOVE DEPRESSION) and I was put under Dr Kelvin as my Therapist..

He scheduled sessions for me during the week and in those sessions I let out all I was going through which was the first time for me but it wasn’t difficult because I listened to the whole time he gave me the utmost attention and without judgement and in turn rendered advice and skills that did work out for me.

Every session was with exercises that are practical that I had to implement in my day to day activities combined with the different materials I was also given. All these made me see my situation improve as the days went by ..
And right now a month later I can say am more in a better place and more peaceful than I was before I met Dr Kelvin and the LEAD Team..They did not only transform the problem I was facing but they did touch other areas of my life which I wasn’t paying much attention to…And am so grateful to God and to the team of LEAD for their commitment to the fight against depression
